{"id":422,"date":"2021-12-18T09:54:38","date_gmt":"2021-12-18T14:54:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jimel.org\/?p=422"},"modified":"2021-12-18T09:54:38","modified_gmt":"2021-12-18T14:54:38","slug":"2021-almost-done","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jimel.org\/?p=422","title":{"rendered":"2021 Almost Done"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s say COVID has caused me to be slow with updating my site&#8230; \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Much has happened over the past couple of years since I posted last in 2019; some of the bigger things&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sold my Dad&#8217;s house in Virginia<ul><li>This felt like a closing chapter of my life. This where I lived from October 1986 till May 1999, but with my parents gone, selling this home removed a major reason for me to have to go to VA.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Bought a used pool<ul><li>33&#215;18 oval, and all the <em>stuff<\/em> that goes with it (electric service, chemicals, toys, deck, water bugs)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Helped my niece pass the 6th grade<ul><li>COVID procrastination threatened failure, so a month of tough love yielded success<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Politics&#8230; no comment<\/li><li>Switched employers<ul><li>This felt like another chapter&#8230; as I was thinking <em>this<\/em> is my work home for the next 20\/25 years<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>But<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On December 1st of this year, exactly 15 years to the day of my true repentance and faith, I submitted my first album of original music to the US Copyright Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lord knows what will happen.
